1 World Cup Preview in Miami

The Miami Dolphins Stadium will be hosting a different kind of football world cupgame this summer. With the World Cup kicking off in Brazil this summer, soccer teams from around the world will be making their way to South America. Given that Miami is the gateway to the Americas, many teams may end up passing through the city while en route to the tournament.

In June, anyone in the Aventura or Sunny Isles Beach area can hop over to the stadium to see England’s soccer team play a few friendly matches. England has scheduled friendlies in Miami to prepare the team to play in Brazil’s warmer temperatures. England will be taking on Ecuador and Honduras before the team departs for Rio de Janeiro.

Hopefully, ticket sales for these matches will give David Beckham a glimpse of the potential success of a Major League Soccer team in Miami.
