Here at RE/MAX Paradise, we don’t just follow real estate news in Miami. We are passionate about real estate around the world, after all RE/MAX is an international company employing over 90,000 agents in more than 90 countries. Plus, we firmly believe in the value of real estate investments, regardless of an individual’s net worth or investment strategy. Outside of the United States, there is one country and one segment of international real estate buyers that have really caught our attention.

Lately, we find China’s real estate market and Chinese investment in international real estate particularly intriguing. We have been following the ongoing boom in China’s real estate market, and recently, we have seen a lot of predictions that the Chinese housing market is on the verge of collapse. The demand for residential real estate in China surged for quite some time, quickly fueling home prices. However, because of the increasing prices and cost of borrowing, as well as the rapid influx of supply, there has been a noticeable decline in activity in the residential real estate market. This is a phenomenon with which Miami is quite familiar, but it is fairly normal for real estate markets in any region to oscillate over time.

Interestingly, our daily study of recent news also indicates that Chinese buyers have spent billions of dollars on international real estate investments, and quite a few of those properties are in the United States, particularly California. Wealthy Chinese investors are also purchasing in other major, international markets, such as London and Dubai. And, Chinese investors aren’t just buying residential property, there has been a boom in Chinese investments in commercial real estate abroad as well.

The part we don’t quite understand, and what we intend to change, is the lack of Chinese investment in real estate in South Florida, and particularly in Miami Beach. Now, we certainly understand the appeal of California, but real estate prices in Florida are for more reasonable. In addition, Miami Beach has so much to offer! South Beach is a vibrant community with so much to see and do. All along our gorgeous coastline, there are plenty of Miami luxury homes, as well as all of the amenities that most international investors desire.

Because of our serious desire to introduce Chinese investors to Miami Beach real estate, we have partnered with Uptown Luxury Lifestyle, known in China as Shang Cheng Luxury Lifestyle, which happens to be the most comprehensive, dynamic, and holistic marketing platform that showcases luxury real estate and lifestyle opportunities to Chinese investors interested in overseas markets. We are confident that Chinese investors will be pleased to learn about everything that Miami has to offer. We welcome our friends in China to contact RE/MAX Paradise for any of their Miami real estate needs!
