Downtown, Brickell, and the beaches aren’t the only areas of Miami with development projects in the works. It looks like Midtown Miami is growing too. In the near future, the area will be receiving quite a boost in residential options. Specifically, three Miami developers announced plans to construct a 300-unit complex in Midtown. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Midtown, it is the area conveniently nestled between Downtown and the Miami Design District. Midtown has a shopping area somewhat like Soho in New York, but with its own Miami vibe of course. The Shops at Midtown is a huge outdoor shopping area with anything and everything one may need. In addition, there are plenty of art galleries, design shops, and culinary delights located within a fairly small radius.

Because the area is a bit more spread out and not quite as densely populated as Downtown and Brickell, you can generally get a bit more space for your money in this neighborhood. Plus, finding parking is slightly less cumbersome. It also offers a central location, with easy access to the business and financial sectors Downtown and in Brickell, the beaches and fun at Miami Beach, and the airport. If you’re looking for Miami real estate in a quiet, artsy neighborhood, then this might be the place for you. The neighborhood is also worth considering if you currently live out in West Miami but work Downtown and can’t handle the daily commute anymore. Since Midtown lies east of 95, it’s a bit easier to get around, and there are plenty of routes that avoid the highway altogether.
