0 Program Helps Veterans Find Shelter

Re:MaxAs many American troops begin to come home from various conflicts abroad, they’re facing a slew of other problems. With suicide and PTSD rates climbing, more and more companies are finding ways to help cut stress for those who sacrificed to serve this nation. Often living on food stamps, a variety of prescription medications, public transportation and disability checks, many vets struggle to get by. Veterans seek out programs like the Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Sarasota-Manatee (JFCS). Veterans with discharges other than dishonorable are assigned caseworkers who can help them get necessary benefits to survive. Similarly, RE/MAX has its Veterans First Real Estate Rewards Program to help make buying a house more affordable for our country’s veterans. Created specifically for veterans, the program is run by vets who truly understand the problems that today’s vets may face.
