The Setai Hotel is well known as one of the most lavish in the country, and often plays host to celebrity guests such as Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Hudson and Dylan McDermott, who
are happy to spend over $1,300 for a single night at the hotel. The Setai was originally built in the 1930s under the name Dempsey Vanderbilt, and since then has gained international fame for its decadence and luxurious amenities. In 2004 the hotel underwent a major design remodeling and now houses 120 rooms that go for $750,00 per room. This is one of five Miami Beach hotels owned by Jordache, and according to managing director of the real estate division of the company Jonathan Bennett this hotel has been an interest of theirs for a while, “The Setai is really the crown jewel of Miami Beach. It is the epitome of luxury in that city. We’ve enjoyed spending time there, and when it came up for sale, we knew it was something that would be great fit for us.
