For college-aged students interested in pursuing a career in real estate, the Florida Real Estate Commission Education and Research Scholarships offers funding that can be applied for on their website.
There are several requirements for the real estate scholarship. Students eligible must first be a resident of Florida. They must also be attending an accredited Florida educational institution that offers a major with a concentration in real estate, and they are enrolled in that major. The scholarship will not to be given to a student with a minor in real estate, but the student can be at the undergraduate or graduate level. Students must be planning to enroll in real estate courses next semester.
Undergraduate students who receive the real estate scholarship must maintain a C average, or a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, and those in the graduate level must maintain a B average, or a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Selected undergraduate students will receive $1,500, and selected graduate students will receive $2,500. Students enrolled in bachelor/master combination programs will be considered to be undergraduate students, and are under consideration for undergraduate scholarships in the amount of $1,500.

The application is due at noon on November 2 for scholarships going toward the Spring 2016 semester. The FREC encourages students to apply earlier rather than later.
The state will also need to approve the applicants before they receive the real estate scholarship. Recipients of the scholarship will be notified via e-mail.
