Leaders in South Florida real estate headed to the 27th annual MPIM International Real Estate Show in Cannes, France where they promoted real estate in and around Miami. Representation at this Cannes real estate show is amazing for South Florida- and also great for foreign buyers who learned more about world-class amenities and great lifestyle South Florida offers. According to Virtual-Strategy Magazine, the Miami booth was one of the most popular in Cannes.
“Representing our commercial members on this world stage was an unforgettable honor,” said Maria G. Juncadella, the 2016 MIAMI commercial president and the co-broker and co-principal at Fairchild Partners in Coral Gables. “The keen interest in Miami from real estate professionals around the world was a confirmation of South Florida’s universal appeal. I particularly enjoyed taking part in the Women Networking Cocktail, held for the first time in the conference and expo’s history.”
According to the 2015 Profile of International Home Buyers in Miami Association of Realtors Business Areas, foreign real estate buyers accounted for 36 percent of home sales in Miami last year. This equated to $6.1 billion in sales.
The representatives from Miami were excited to be there. Not only were they impressed by the show, they were excited to show off what an amazing place South Florida is.
“Miami’s emerging technological industry that could one day rival Silicon Valley, an expanding global art scene, a $2 billion port infrastructure upgrade, Miami International Airport’s $6.4 billion in planned renovations, and the state’s lowest commercial real estate vacancy rates have played roles in turning South Florida into a global destination,” wrote Virtual-Strategy Magazine about the city.
