Ultra Music Festival Tickets –

General Admission Tickets:

General admission Ultra Music Festival tickets start out at $299.95 for the 3-day event and go up in tiers as the event approaches. The early you buy your ticket, the more money you can save. There are no single-day ticket options. General admission tickets to Ultra Music Festival 2018 are already sold out.

If dropping $300 on a ticket is not in your financial plan, there is also a payment plan option that allows you to break it down into more feasible chunks for the trade-off of a higher overall ticket price. In 2018, the payment plan added $100 to the ticket price but allowed ticket purchasers to pay it off in 3 monthly payments, due by December 1, 2017.

VIP Tickets:

VIP Ultra Music Festival Tickets start at $1,249.95 for the 3-day event and they go up in tiers like the general admission tickets. There are no single-day VIP ticket options. In 2018, the VIP ticket gets you access to 6 VIP bars, 3 VIP viewing areas, and a separate festival entrance to avoid the lines.

Ultra Music Festival Lineup –

ultra music festival

Some of the 2018 Ultra Music Festival headliners that have been announced so far include Afrojack, The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, DJ Snake, and Steve Aoiki. In addition, Eats Everything, Seth Troxler, Skream, and Jackmaster are teaming up under the name of J.E.S.u.S and should be bringing something really special to the mix. See the up-to-date full lineup here

There are approximately 8 stages at Ultra Music Festival, and upwards of 100 artists performing. The stages all have different names and experiences to offer. Check out the legendary Arcadia Spider stage.

The “Ultra Worldwide” Stage plays homage to the worldwide events, while “UMF Radio” honors the weekly radio broadcast in 64 countries. The rest of the stages will be dedicated to performances by different artists at various times.ultra music festival

There is always new music to see at Ultra Music Festival. You have the possibility of seeing new music from your favorite artists if they chose to debut their new work as many have historically. People also often report that their favorite performances were from artists they had never even heard of before, so make sure to check out the entire event! Oh yeah, and don’t forget the surprise appearances that have been promised this year.

Ultra Music Festival Lodging & Travel –

There are no overnight accommodations on the Ultra Music Festival grounds, so you will need to find accommodations in a hotel or Airbnb near the venue. One of the best ways to save money is to secure lodging near the Miami-Dade MetroRail system so that you can take the train to and from the festival. After connecting at Government City Station, you can take the free Metromover to Biscayne Park.

Driving to the festival is not recommended as traffic gets very congested. If you are not staying within walking distance of the MetroRail, there is parking available at the MetroRail stations or at various garages in downtown Miami. Note that you should not attempt to walk to or from the festival via the MacArthur Causeway. This is a highway, there are no sidewalks, and it would be extremely dangerous for pedestrians.

What To Bring To Ultra Music Festival –

Comfortable/Creative Attire

  • Illuminated or glowing jewelry or customs are certainly allowed! You can also bring flags and banners as long as they aren’t corporate or company branding. No hard poles, sticks, or totems are allowed. Don’t forget your sunglasses and hat to help protect you from the Miami sunrays!

Your ID

  • ultra music festivalYou must be 18+ years old to for general admission and 21+ years old for VIP.

Spending Money

  • You may want to buy food, beverages, or merchandise while at Ultra Music Festival.

Cell Phone

  • Who goes anywhere without this anyway, right? The festival is large so you may want your cell phone to communicate with friends if you get separated.

Cameras

  • If you aren’t satisfied with your cell phone camera, you can bring in other non-professional cameras, GoPros, camera straps, etc.

Necessary Bags

  • You aren’t going to want to be weighed down, so only bring bags if you really need them. This helps to expedite the check-in process too. All bags must be clear, and they cannot exceed 13” x 17”. Plastic, vinyl, or PVC are acceptable. You can also bring fanny packs, and small clutch bags.

Hydration Packs

  • You are going to want to stay hydrated! These cannot be backpacks and they must be empty upon entry. They can be filled at the water stations on the festival grounds.

Earplugs

  • It can get pretty loud, and when it comes to protecting your ears you are better safe than sorry!

There is a decently long list of items that are prohibited at Ultra Music Festival. Make sure you take a look at this list before heading over to the festival to make sure you are in compliance.

On-Site Amenities at Ultra Music Festival –

ultra music festival

Food and Drinks

There are plenty of food and beverage options on the festival grounds. It’s a good thing, because once you leave for the day, there is no re-entry until the following day. Check out the site-map to send yourself in the right direction for food and drinks.

Bathrooms

The bathrooms at Ultra Music Festival are outdoor port-o-potties. The closest of the facilities can get pretty overused, which is no fun. Your best bet is to walk to the further away bathroom areas, and go for the port-o-potties at the back to find the facilities that have not seen as much traffic.

Water Fill Stations

Water fill stations are located in multiple areas around the venue. Make sure to bring a hydration pack and fill up on water frequently. With the sunshine and the dancing and the Miami heat, you are going to need to stay hydrated!

ATMS

ATMs are located on-site in case you are in need of cash.

Lost and Found

If you lose an item, a lost and found is maintained at the merchandise tent, and at the Box Office. If you are to find a lost item, turn it into a Security Officer, Police Officer, Fire Rescue personnel or Ultra Music Festival staff person so it can make its way there and be found by its rightful owner.

0 How To Have A Great Time At The South Beach Wine & Food Festival

south beach wine & food festival

History of the South Beach Wine & Food Festival

The Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival is one of the most highly regarded festivals of its kind, but it didn’t start out that way. In fact, what we now know as the South Beach Wine & Food Festival began in 1997 as the Florida Extravaganza, a one-day festival at Florida International University’s campus in Biscayne Bay. From 1997-2001, the event featured a variety of wines paired with food prepared by local restaurants. They worked with the students of FIU’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, raising money for the school and giving the students more experience.

In 2002, the South Beach Wine & Food Festival got its new name and its new home in South Beach. Lee Brian Schrager, director of special events & media relations at Southern Wine & Spirits of America took the reins and the one-day festival was stretched to three days, attracting close to 7,000 guests. The Grand Tasting Village got its start here, as did the live auction.

By 2005, the festival was celebrating its fifth anniversary and gaining prestige as one of the most well-known festivals of its kind in the country. The partnership with Food Network began in 2007 and the first ever Food Network South Beach Food & Wine Festival brought in over 30,000 guests. In 2008 the Fun and Fit as a Family program began on Jungle Island.

SOBEWFF celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2011 and welcomed more than 60,000 guests by 2013. In 2014, the Wine Spectator Restaurant Management Laboratory at FIU opened its doors. This teaching facility was built from the funds raised by SOBEWFF. The Festival celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2016. This also marked the year that the Festival was extended into Broward County with the launch of the Taste Fort Lauderdale Series.

Present Daysouth beach wine & food festival

Today, SOBEWFF has grown to over 65,000 attendees. It features 350 leaders in the hospitality industry, and top food and wine experts from around the world. Cooking demonstrations, gourmet dinners, wine tastings and cocktail parties make this a must-attend event for foodies and winos worldwide. The festival has raised more than $24 million for the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at FIU.

How To Have A Great Time at SOBEWFF

Tickets

Buy your tickets in advance! I can’t stress that enough. SOBEWFF tickets normally go on sale in early September and many of the best events are sold out far in advance. In general, tickets range from $20 to $500. The Grand Tasting Village tickets are $225. If you are a Mastercard holder, you can purchase the Mastercard Demo Pass for $50 more to guarantee reserved premium seating for all KitchenAid Culinary Demonstrations. Check out the events for $100 and under or the event packages to get the most for your money. Tickets cannot be purchased at the door and they are not refundable.

Events

If you want to make the most of SOBEWFF you have to plan ahead. I already mentioned that tickets sell out early. I should also mention that it features more than 85 unique events throughout South Florida. Don’t limit yourself to the Grand Tasting Village. Check out all of your options to decide your course of action ahead of time.

Attire

south beach wine & food festivalThe SOBEWFF suggests “smart casual” attire at daytime events and cocktail attire for late night and dinner events. However, I would reconsider those heels if you’re going to the Grand Tasting Village, ladies. This is the central hub of the entire 5-day event, and it is literally on the beach. On that note, remember your sunscreen and hat. Much of your time will be spent outside, so plan accordingly. Security will check your bag before you enter the event. Outside food and beverage are also prohibited in addition to large bags and suitcases.

Drinking

At the South Beach Food and Wine Festival, great wine and food will be all around you. You must pace yourself if you want to fully enjoy the entire day. Your ticket covers all of your food and beverages inside the event, and they are going to be amazing. The urge to try everything can make it easy to go overboard. If this sounds like you, don’t feel obligated to finish each of your tastings, and ask for small tastings if desired. Remember to drink lots of water along the way. If you have a little too much fun don’t drink and drive, you have plenty of other options. You can make arrangements to have a friend pick you up beforehand, or take a cab, bus, or tri-rail home.

South Beach is such a unique and vibrant community. It is a community that we at RE/MAX Paradise know and love. If you are thinking of buying, selling, or renting a home in Miami, reach out to one of our knowledgeable agents today. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have. 0 Cultural Exchange Speaker Series: Miami RE

cultural exchange speaker seriesRecently, the Ocean Drive magazine sat down with founder Seth Browarnik of World Red Eye, a lifestyle website, and real estate developer Avra Jain and discussed World Red Eye’s Cultural Exchange Speaker Series. The mission of this series is “to inform, encourage, and inspire Miamians on topics including nightlife, real estate, art, and fashion.” Launced by Browarnik who is also a celebrity photographer, the next part of the speaker series is called “The Next Genesis of Miami Real Estate” on Thursday.

“Real estate is one of the most, if not the most, important industries in Miami. We have the biggest power players and we found the niche—the generational hand over of power where it’s kind of this continuation of a legacy,” said Browarnik to Ocean Drive. about his decision to highlight real estate in the speaker series.

Jain gave some insight into Miami neighborhoods, saying that the city’s unique cities are representative of the different cultures and people throughout the city.

“I think that they’re all going to do well for different reasons. And I think that it’s good that Miami has this sense of neighborhood—and what’s happening now is that every neighborhood has their own little downtown with their own culture. They look and feel different. And I think this speaks to the diversity of Miami—which I think is one of its strongest characters,” she said.

In the interview, Browarnik and Jain said that attendees to the Cultural Exchange Speaker Series on Thursday can expect to hear about how fashion and culture in Miami intertwine with real estate, and Jain is looking forward to hearing from younger people of the up and coming generation.

Miami is a city filled with amazing events such as the Cultural Exchange Speaker Series, which highlight even more of its best aspects. At RE/MAX Paradise, we are excited to offer you the best real estate in one of the best cities in America, so check out our beautiful properties today!

0 MIPIM Discussion Topics: 2016 Conference

MIPIM discussion topicsThe large international real estate exhibition MIPIM started Tuesday in Cannes, France and will continue through Friday. The annual event brings together real estate professionals from around the world and from diverse real estate sectors. Thousands of professionals are able to network with each other and they attend conferences and discussions at the event. The conference’s director, Filippo Rean, told CNBC about what he thinks the major MIPIM discussion topics will be this year.

Three Hottest MIPIM Discussion Topics

Housing Supply

A shortage of housing inventory has become an issue for many. It is tough for first-time buyers to enter the market, and refugees all over the world are entering new markets, creating even higher demand for real estate.

According to Rean, “It is essential that public and private actors work together to forge holistic solutions to pressing housing crises. MIPIM provides a global forum where participants battling similar dynamics around the world can brainstorm and share innovative ideas.”

Flexible Working

Commercial real estate developers need to cater to more flexible, convenient working spaces. According to CNBC’s article, tenants are willing to pay a more premium price in exchange for a space with terms that allow them flexibility to help maximize workspace.

Global Investing

Globalization and real estate investment is becoming more common.

According to Rean, “Twenty years ago, real estate investing was still a very local endeavor. Now capital flows emanate from all over the world to cross into assets located in all global regions.”

The globalization of real estate investment is exemplified in the representatives attending MIPIM. 89 countries will be represented at this year’s event. While global investors are met with challenges like weak bank lending and tightening standards, this will be one of the most important MIPIM discussion topics.

If you are interested in the present and future of today’s market, following MIPIM discussion topics will be of interest to you throughout the week. If you are an investor looking to go international, the discussions by professionals at the event will interest you as well. You can find updates and even find some parts live on their website. RE/MAX Paradise can also help you get started with investing, as well as answer any real estate questions, so check out our commercial real estate available in Miami.
